Will You Be My Friend?

Last night, well actually most of the afternoon and up until nearly midnight, I spent most of my time finding new bloggers to follow. I was looking specifically for individuals that have been or are in the process of becoming gastric banded patients. I find so much inspiration and motivation in these stories. There is a lot of educational value as well, because let's face it, the doctor isn't going to cover every detail with you, and there are some things you can only learn from experience. I've opted to learn from YOUR experience!!

During my search I found something quite amazing. A lot of you have formed a community with your blogs. And well, I was wondering, can I join? There's still a lot I don't know about blogging, so you may find my blog isn't as up to par as some more experienced bloggers, but I do try to keep it honest and fun. I'll admit I haven't posted like I'd intended to when I started this blog a lot of that has to do with having little to no followers. Some blame also goes to my getting discouraged and falling off the wagon the last couple of months. I'll talk more about that later.

So here's a sweet little plea to follow me! I will follow you! I've already begun following about seventeen blogs as of last night. I like to look at the blogs you follow as well for inspiration. My ultimate goal isn't a slew of followers as much as it is motivation and a sense of accountability. Your comments and suggestions will fuel the fire under my feet! A friend of mine had gastric bypass THIS MORNING and I'll be going down there today to visit her so at least I'll have a companion in this whole thing, although by the time my surgery rolls around in  June, she's sure to be a skinny mini!

I'll end this post with a big shout out to all of you banded peeps in blog land and wish you the best on your journey!!
If you have suggestions for blogs I should follow, please leave a comment! If you have a blog you'd like me to follow just ask!! I'm down like James Brown!! I promise to read and comment, and show you as much support as possible!! Just see my last post. It's even a part of my fitness goals for this year. No lie!!

  1. Good for you Kathy! The pre-op stage is so exciting, nerve wracking, and anxiety ridden. I am only a month post-surgery, and I am still learning every day. I wish much success on your journey and look forward to reading your blogs!
